Business Unit Manager - Cleveland, OH

Description

• Maintain constant communication with managers, staff, and vendors to ensure proper operation of the company
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols
• Increase the efficiency of existing processes and procedures to enhance the company’s internal capacity
• Ensure that operational activities remain on time and within budget
• Track staffing requirements, hiring new employees as needed
• Track and drive sales initiatives to meet budgeted goals
• Lead, motivate, support, train teams within a time-sensitive and demanding environment across all operational departments
• Evaluate performance holding teams accountable and correcting performance when needed
• Manage data collection for the updating of metrics to achieve productivity targets, sales goals, reduce costs, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service
• Work with legal and safety departments to ensure that activities remain compliant
• Work closely with all departments such as sales, warehousing, finance, and HR to achieve cross-functional goals.
• Conduct budget reviews and report strategic plan/goals to upper management monthly
• Contribute to the development of operational strategies aligned with overall business objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in operations management, business administration, or related field
• Two or more years of proven success in an operations management role
• Multiple years of financial and account reporting experience
• Strong skills in budget development and oversight
• Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of branch operations and customer service
• Proficiency in conflict management and business negotiation processes
• Knowledge of business productivity software and an aptitude for learning new applications

Primarily work in an office environment.

Will be expected to travel 30% to company subsidiaries.

Periodic weekend or evening work is expected.
