Social Skills Interventionist
NKHS is seeking a Social Skills Interventionist (SSI) to join our School Based Services Collaborative Program within Caledonia North Supervisory Union Schools. In this role, you will provide direct, individualized support to children and youth with significant social, emotional, and behavioral needs in a school setting.
As an SSI, you will work closely with educators, clinicians, and families to help students build social skills, improve emotional regulation, and succeed both in and out of the classroom.
Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide direct support to students focused on social skills development, self-regulation, and daily functioning
Implement individualized treatment and positive behavior support plans
Follow crisis prevention and de-escalation protocols
Collect and maintain accurate, timely behavioral data and documentation
Collaborate with school teams, supervisors, and treatment providers
Attend team meetings, supervision, and required trainings
Support students in both school and community settings
Provide transportation using your personal vehicle as needed
Position Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Education, Psychology, or related field preferred
Candidates working toward a degree will be considered (must complete within one year of hire)
Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) preferred
Requirements:
Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and required auto insurance ($100,000/$300,000)
Ability to pass all required background checks
Ability to support student safety, including physical intervention when necessary
Ability to work in school and community-based environments

Pay Range: $22.25 – $27.19 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
