Mechanic 1st Class

Summary

We are looking for Maintenance Mechanic support operations by maintaining equipment, troubleshooting when problems arise, and repairing machines when broken down. They perform troubleshooting and repairs for all facets of modern automated equipment. This is a position where a candidate can continue to improve their skills and grow into more advanced roles.

Role & Responsibilities

* Answer trouble calls to production equipment.

* Perform preventative maintenance routines with precision.

* Complete assigned work request repairs promptly.

* Keep our shop and equipment in tiptop shape clean and safe.

* Conduct test runs on all equipment post repairs or preventative maintenance.

* Practice and uphold all company policies and procedures, fostering a culture of safety and compliance.

Safety First

* Prioritize safety by locking out equipment before commencing work.

* Ensure thorough understanding of equipment operation before attempting to use.

* Keep hands and arms clear of moving parts and machinery.

* Report potential safety hazards promptly.

* Maintain clean uniforms and follow sanitation guidelines.

* Requirements & Physical Demands

* Prior experience in plant maintenance or general commercial mechanic experience.

* Ability to arrive to work on time consistently ?

* Able to work in a fast-paced environment and must also adapt to frequent changes that occur on the production line

* Must possess/maintain a valid license to operate applicable equipment.

* Able to read, comprehend and practice necessary safety procedures, signs, etc.

* Able to lift up to 50 pounds, stack, and/or carry pans, ingredient containers, etc.

* Must be able to work around and with various food machinery equipment

* Must be able to measure ingredients and follow written instructions

* Have the ability to stand and/or stoop for the full shift

* Ability to work in a loud, hot work environment

* Physically capable of moving to all areas of a plant; capable of reaching, bending, stooping, climbing, pushing and pulling as required in a manufacturing operation.

* Willing to work irregular and/or rotating shifts, including split days off (non-consecutive days off)

* Working holidays and weekends is frequently required

* Must be 18 years or older?
