Duties

• Prepare patients for endoscopic procedures by explaining the process, ensuring comfort, and verifying medical histories.
• Assist physicians during endoscopy procedures, including inserting and maneuvering endoscopic equipment with precision.
• Maintain strict aseptic techniques to prevent infections, including sterilizing instruments and managing sterile fields.
• Operate medical imaging devices and other diagnostic tools to capture high-quality images for evaluation.
• Monitor patient vital signs throughout procedures, noting any abnormalities or concerns for immediate attention.
• Document procedure details accurately in medical records, including observations, technical data, and patient responses.
• Support post-procedure care by providing instructions to patients and ensuring proper recovery protocols are followed.

Experience

• Proven experience working in gastroenterology or a related medical field, with familiarity in endoscopy procedures preferred.
• Strong knowledge of gastrointestinal anatomy, physiology, and common disorders to assist in diagnostic evaluation.
• Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of diagnostic imaging techniques used in gastroenterology.
• Demonstrated ability to apply aseptic techniques rigorously to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
• Technical proficiency with medical equipment used in endoscopy and related diagnostic tools.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and educate patients about procedures.
• Prior experience with medical imaging or anatomy knowledge will be considered an asset for success in this role.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
