- Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems to input, update, and manage patient data securely and efficiently
- Ensure all medical documentation complies with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality
- Assist in achieving HIPAA compliance by following strict confidentiality policies during all documentation processes
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and gastroenterology-specific procedures to accurately capture clinical details
- Support physicians during endoscopic procedures by documenting findings and procedural notes in real-time
- Maintain organized medical records and ensure accurate transcription of clinical notes for future reference and billing purposes
Skills
- Proven experience with transcription services within a healthcare setting or medical office environment
- Strong understanding of EMR/EHR systems for efficient data entry and management
- Excellent typing skills with high accuracy to support real-time documentation needs
