As an ART Therapist, you will play a vital role in our interdisciplinary team, using creative processes to help clients address cognitive, emotional, and physical challenges.
About the Role
As an Art Therapist, you will design and implement individualized art therapy programs that support neuroplasticity, emotional regulation, and communication. You will work closely with nursing, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, music therapists, and neuropsychology practitioners to provide integrated care. Your expertise will enable you to adapt art materials to accommodate physical or cognitive limitations, ensuring that each client receives personalized support.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive initial art therapy assessments for clients
Develop tailored treatment plans with measurable goals
Facilitate individual and group art therapy sessions
Adapt art materials to accommodate physical or cognitive limitations
Document client progress in electronic health records daily
Participate in weekly interdisciplinary clinical team meetings
Maintain the safety, organization, and inventory of art supplies
Qualifications
Education: Master's degree in Art Therapy
Certification: Board Certified Registered Art Therapist (ATR-BC) required
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in health care, neurorehabilitation or brain injury care preferred
