Placement will be on the B Salary Schedule with a range of $100,936 - $143,669, dependent on education and applicable work experience. Placement is determined by the President and Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees Policy and salary schedule guidelines. A hired applicant with an earned doctorate would earn an additional $2,000 per annum, prorated monthly. The work week is Monday through Friday, with evening and weekend work required at times. Hours worked will be a minimum of 40 per week. Non-probationary status cannot be attained in this position per ACCS Board Policy 204.01.

This employee must comply with all policies of the Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees, the Alabama Community College System, and Northeast Alabama Community College and reports directly to the College President.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide overall administration, planning, implementation, supervision, and quality assurance of workforce development programs
- Working with instructors and program leaders, create class scheduling and teaching assignments for both credit and non-credit workforce development programs
- Insure viable technical curricula through regular review of courses, programs, personnel, and syllabi and establish appropriate degree and credit and noncredit stackable credentials and certificates that serve the individual and workforce needs of the area
- Foster frequent engagement with local businesses and industry leaders, local school systems, and community and civic organization leaders to promote workforce development and skills training programs and to develop and propose to the President ideas for increasing workforce development opportunities for the service area
- Promote workforce development programs of the institution by developing productive cooperative relationships with local school systems, industries, and businesses
- Develop and administer an annual division budget, including requests to the President for equipment needs
- Plan and direct the preparation, budgeting, and evaluation of Perkins-related and other grant-funded activities
- Communicate all activities involving workforce development issues with the President in written or verbal form
- Coordinate business and industry training projects with the Alabama Community College System
- Cooperate with local economic development authorities to assist in recruiting industry
- Represent the College in the community and on committees related to workforce development
- Manage outreach to area industry through a focus on work readiness initiatives
- Supervise Workforce Develop ent and Skills Training faculty and staff
- Maintain appropriate work hours as outlined in State and College policies
- Work with faculty to ensure the safety and cleanliness of laboratories and shops
- Adhere to all policies and procedures set forth by the College
- Maintain currency of professional knowledge and skills through professional development and continuing education
- Recruit students for Northeast Alabama Community College
- Serve as the overall supervisor to the Director of Healthcare programs
- Have knowledge of and commitment to the philosophy and objectives of Northeast Alabama Community College and the Alabama Community College System20 the College and its philosophy to prospective students and to others in the community.
- Comply with all policies of the Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees, the Alabama Community College System, and Northeast Alabama Community College
- Perform other duties as assigned by the President
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate training programs
- Skill in written and oral communication
- Skill in the organization and analysis of data, particularly local and regional labor market data
- Ability to lead people successfully within the organization and create a positive work environment
- Ability to interpret and apply the standards of regulating and accrediting bodies, such as the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, the Alabama Community College System, and career training specific accreditation standards
- Understanding of educational technology
- Knowledge of established policies and procedures of the Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees, the Alabama Community College System, and Northeast Alabama Community College
- Understanding of the mission and goals of Northeast Alabama Community College and the Alabama Community College System
- (A) Masters degree from a regionally accredited institution and experience in a workforce-related field or (B) Bachelors degree from a regionally accredited institution with experience in a top management position in a workforce-related business or industry is
