Payroll AccountantResponsibilitiesKey duties will include, but are not limited to:Overseeing the preparation and accuracy review of W-2 forms for a global employee population of 200 Completing rollforwards and conducting analysis on core payroll reportsSupporting the preparation of payroll tax filings, 401(k) regulatory submissions, audits, and tax returnsCreating semi-monthly payroll summaries for the Corporate Accounting team to ensure proper financial recordingAddressing ad-hoc inquiries from employees, Tax, HR, and Corporate AccountingProducing financial forecasts, account reconciliations, and other analytical reports as requiredReviewing outstanding payroll liabilities and partnering with internal teams to reconcile and resolve issuesContributing to the administration of equity-based compensation programsCandidate Profile3–5 years of hands-on payroll or accounting experience; background in asset management or financial services is beneficialStrong proficiency in MS Word and Excel, including advanced Excel capabilitiesFamiliarity with ADP Payroll is advantageousExperience assisting with system upgrades or technology rollouts is a plusExcellent analytical abilities along with strong verbal, written, and documentation skillsHighly detail-focused, dependable, and capable of maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive payroll dataStrong time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlinesProactive self-starter who can independently manage new initiatives through completionAble to build and maintain strong working relationships across teamsOpen to continuous learning, particularly regarding payroll regulations and system enhancementsDependable team contributor who can work independently, apply good judgment, and demonstrate effective problem-solving skills
