Digital Marketing Developer (Email Marketing & Event Technology)
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Digital Marketing Developer with strong HTML development expertise to support the creation, deployment, and optimization of marketing emails, digital event invitations, and registration experiences. This individual will play a key role in developing responsive, content-driven marketing campaigns across email automation and event technology platforms.
The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with a strong understanding of digital marketing, user experience, and email best practices. Key Responsibilities
- Build, test, and deploy responsive HTML marketing emails using approved corporate templates and brand guidelines.
- Develop and execute content-rich email campaigns, including newsletters, thought leadership communications, promotional campaigns, and client communications.
- Create, manage, and maintain email assets within Oracle Eloqua or a comparable marketing automation platform.
- Develop digital event invitations and registration landing pages within the Cvent platform for conferences, webinars, client events, and firm-sponsored programs.
- Ensure all emails render properly across major email clients, browsers, operating systems, and mobile devices.
- Troubleshoot HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and platform-related issues to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform comprehensive quality assurance testing, including validation of links, personalization, dynamic content, formatting, accessibility, and responsive functionality.
- Utilize testing platforms such as Litmus and Email on Acid to ensure consistent rendering and user experience across devices and inbox providers.
- Collaborate closely with marketing managers, designers, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into engaging digital experiences.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects while meeting established deadlines and maintaining exceptional quality standards.
- Provide technical expertise and recommendations regarding email development, registration workflows, and marketing platform capabilities.
- Continuously improve development processes, email performance, and user experience while maintaining brand consistency across all digital marketing assets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 5 years of hands-on experience in HTML email development within a high-volume marketing or digital production environment.
- Advanced proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with deep knowledge of responsive email development and email coding best practices.
- Experience working with Oracle Eloqua, Cvent, and WordPress is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of responsive design principles and cross-platform compatibility across email clients and devices.
- Familiarity with email compliance regulations and privacy standards within the United States and United Kingdom.
- Experience using QA and rendering tools such as Litmus and Email on Acid.
- Strong understanding of user interface (UI) standards, accessibility, and current digital marketing trends.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, creative, and business stakeholders.
- Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to producing high-quality work.
