Our client, a well-known Financial Services firm in Stamford, CT is looking for an Administrative Assistant to join their Finance team!
Responsibilities:
- Maintain internal databases for tax filings, state qualifications, tax registrations, control logs, and permanent legal documents
- Monitor tax return and compliance filing deadlines to ensure timely submissions
- Organize and distribute information requests to third parties on a quarterly and annual basis
- Prepare check requests and allocate invoices related to tax filings, notices, and service provider payments
- Prepare and review investor information, tax forms, and supporting workpapers as needed
- Correspond directly with federal, state, and local tax authorities to address and resolve tax notices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on entity tax ID applications, IRS and state tax registrations, and validation of tax withholding forms
- Support the tax department with general administrative tasks and assist in tax research projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 2 years administrative role within the financial services industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with various systems and technologies
