Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Biomedical Equipment Technician, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and functionality of Stryker medical equipment consisting of mostly, hand pieces, attachments and Video equipment. In this exciting position, you will utilize your technical skills to maintain and repair Stryker equipment so it can be sold on the secondary market. Your expertise will help healthcare professionals deliver the best possible care to their patients, making a real difference in their lives.

What you’ll do

  • Primary Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of power tools, including motors, gears, and lubrication systems.
  • Perform motor replacements, gear lubrication, and routine maintenance to ensure optimal functionality and longevity.
  • Replace O-rings, bearings, and shims as part of power tool maintenance and repair.
  • Repair and maintain associated accessories and attachments for power tools.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Conduct inventory control for tools, parts, and supplies, ensuring accurate stock levels and timely reordering.
  • Document all repairs, maintenance tasks, and inventory usage with precision.
  • Repair and maintain medical devices, such as surgical imaging systems, surgical hand pieces like Stryker System 7 and System 8, Video equipment like 1588, 1688 and 1788 Stryker towers.
  • Evaluate pre-owned endoscopes, identifying damages and necessary repairs for re-marketing.
  • Test and assess lease-returned medical equipment to ensure functionality and readiness for resale or redeployment.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to manage and maintain inventory for medical devices, ensuring availability and accurate tracking.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues on medical devices to restore functionality.
  • Ensure all repairs and testing adhere to quality and safety standards applicable to medical equipment.

Basic qualifications

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance.

Preferred qualifications

  • Familiarity with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) standards and practices.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting Stryker Power and Video equipment and other biomedical devices.
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare environment is advantageous.

We are the largest reseller of off-lease Stryker medical equipment in the US. Mainly Stryker Power and Video equipment with offices in California and Tennessee.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.71 - $29.76 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 8 per week
