What are the responsibilities and job description for the Select Youth Baseball Coach position at North Texas Kings Baseball Club?
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Youth Baseball Coach to join our fast growing baseball organization. The ideal candidate would be a collegiate and/ or professional baseball player and a strong desire to mentor, develop, and inspire young athletes. This coach will play a key role in teaching advanced fundamentals, promoting sportsmanship, and preparing players for their futures to play high school and collegiate-level competition. Must be available every weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and during the week in the evenings.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
Plan, organize, and conduct practices that focus on skill development, game strategies, and team cohesion.
Coach and or help coach teams between the ages of 9u - 18u for tournaments, scrimmages, league games, and showcases.
Utilize prior collegiate or professional experience to elevate player development and baseball IQ.
Provide individualized feedback and training to help players improve technical and mental aspects of the game.
Collaborate with other coaches and staff to ensure consistency across teams and alignment with program philosophy.
Promote discipline, accountability, and positive team culture both on and off the field.
Serve as a mentor and role model, emphasizing character development, leadership, and academic priorities.
Travel with the team to tournaments.
Maintain communication with parents regarding players progress, expectations, and schedules.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior collegiate or professional playing/coaching experience.
Coaching experience at youth, high school, or club level.
Strong knowledge of baseball fundamentals, training methods, and in-game decision-making.
Ability to connect with and motivate youth athletes.
Must pass a background check and adhere to all child safety standards.
PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES:
Positive, energetic, and enthusiastic about teaching the game of baseball.
Ability to manage team logistics, parent communication, and tournament preparation.
Familiarity with video analysis tools and modern coaching technology a plus.
Flexible schedule and willingness to travel.
COMPENSATION:
Based on experience and team assignment.
Opportunities for additional income through private lessons.
