Job Title: Yard Helper
About Us: North Star Pipelines is a leading underground utility subcontractor, specializing in wet utilities.
Position Overview: This person will be working hands-on in the yard, assisting with the organization and maintenance of equipment, tools, and materials. This is a part-time 20 - 25 hour a week position with a little flexibility. We work Monday - Friday 6 AM - 5 PM and we are closed weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Yard Support
- Deliveries, Pickups and other errands
- Clean and organize yard and warehouse
- Sort parts, unloading, moving, and storing materials
- Handle materials safely
- Parts checks and inventory checks, Identifying and verifying parts
- Manage and inventory tools and small equipment
- Handle tool repairs and replacements
- Order and maintain stock of supplies and consumables
- Clean and maintain a safe, professional working environment
- Light Building maintenance and cleaning
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Hard Worker
- Willing to get dirty
- Self-motivated and able to stay productive
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn and grow in the field of underground construction
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds
- Capable of working in all outdoor temperatures and weather conditions
- Must be comfortable and willing to work on construction sites
- Valid driver's license
