Pay Range: 

$17.45-$22.25 (uncertified)*

$18.51-$23.60 (certified)*

Job Summary: 

The Medical Assistant will be part of the team concept in the Center’s health delivery system, which is devoted to the delivery of primary care in an ambulatory setting with emphases on prevention and health maintenance. Assist the nurse and other clinical staff in performing their duties and carrying on the necessary functions required in accordance with established policies and procedures. Responsibilities include but not limited to; rooming patients, measuring vital signs, performing ECG’s, phlebotomy, returning patient phone calls and referral and tracking management.  Care is provided in an efficient and safe manner consistent with the CHMC standard of care. May be required to float to other Health Centers as needed. Scheduled shifts will fluctuate and vary dependent on operational needs.Schedule may include working a weekend on a rotational basis.

EDUCATION:

Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Required:

• Valid NYS Driver's License

• BLS Certification

Preferred:

• Valid Medical Assistant Certification

TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:

Required:

• Two (2) years of patient care experience

Preferred:

• Education and training in basic medical terminology

• Previous patient care experience
