Are you a Licensed LVT/RVT or experienced VA/CVA with a passion for diagnostic deep-dives, microscopes and all things Clinical Pathology? We’re looking for a skilled Laboratory/Pharmacy Technician to join our 24-hour Emergency & Specialty team.
The Role
You’ll be running one of the only dedicated veterinary labs in the region. Working with our state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, you will provide our doctors with critical answers when they matter most as well as managing all in-house medications and prescriptions to go home. Between lab/pharmacy tasks, you will occasionally help the ER floor team to keep your hands-on patient skills sharp. Keeping our lab well stocked, organized, and impeccably clean provides an excellent and safe work environment. You will perform blood smear evaluations including differentials, blood typing and cross matching, in-depth fecal and urine analyses, general cytology, and microscopic confirmation of analyzer findings.

What You Bring
- Credentials: You must be a experienced LVT/RVT or VA/CVA as you will be handling controlled drugs and occasionally assisting with procedures on the ER floor.
- Drive: Ability to work solo and stay extremely organized with strong attention to detail. You will work directly with the ER and specialty teams to run in-house diagnostics, carefully and accurately fill medications, and manage advanced send-outs to multiple external labs.
- Adaptability: Being able to multitask is key in an fast paced ER environment. You will be managing diagnostics for multiple patients simultaneously with extreme accuracy and consistency in detail.
- Communication: Effective and expedient communication of results and findings to doctors and technicians is critical to maintaining smooth workflow in a busy ER environment.
Pay Scale/Benefits:
Starting rate for LVT/RVT: $25/hr-$27/hr
Starting rate for VA/CVA: $18/hr-$21/hr
Shift Differential: $1.50/hr swing shift, $4/hr overnight shift
