What are the responsibilities and job description for the TEMP - College Intern - Wainwright position at North Slope Borough?
The purpose of this is to create a pathway for college immersed students to access a more structured program that would enhance their skills in alignment with their academic pursuits; to entice interns to eventually return to the North Slope to fill leadership positions that are being vacated by retiring individuals within the community.

Essential duties and Responsibilities of this position will be determined by each hiring manager that participates in this program. It is expected that duties and responsibilities will reflect the academic pursuit of the individual intern.
Assist with research, preparation and completion of program-specific duties.
Maintain confidentiality of clients, work-related issues, personnel records and Borough information.
May be required to work a non-traditional work schedule including holidays and weekends.
May be required to travel.
High School graduate or G.E.D/or, a combination of 12 years of education and related work experience.
HEALTH DEPARTMENT ONLY
Applicant must pass a criminal history background check conducted by the State of Alaska Background Check Unit (If applicable).
Documentation that the individual is free from active pulmonary tuberculosis.

2nd year student $28.048 Range 21
Must be enrolled full-time in higher education courses that will enhance skills in alignment with academic pursuits
Documentation showing a minimum of 20 college credits
3rd year student $29.450 Range 22
Must be enrolled full-time in higher education courses that will enhance skills in alignment with academic pursuits
Documentation showing a minimum of 40 college credits
