Role Description
Ground team:
What You’ll Do:
- Drive & Operate: Safely transport machinery, materials, and crews to job sites using Class A/B vehicles.
- Trench & Dig: Perform manual labor including hand-digging, trenching, and potholing to locate existing utilities.
- Restore: Backfill trenches, compact soil, and restore job sites to original condition.
- Support: Assist with conduit placement and pulling underground fiber cables.
Aerial team:
What You’ll Do:
- Mobilize: Drive bucket trucks and line trucks to various field locations around Auburn.
- Ground Support: Manage the "ground-to-air" flow of materials, tools, and safety equipment.
- Climb & Reach: Assist in the installation of strands, anchors, and fiber optic cables on utility poles.
- Lash & Pull: Manually pull cable and operate lashing machines while maintaining a high level of physical output.
Qualifications
- Possess a valid CDL license with a good driving record
- Proficiency in vehicle operation, maintenance, and performing routine vehicle inspections
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and adherence to safety protocols
- Ability to load, transport, and unload equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and handle physical demands of the role
- Previous experience in transportation or construction-related roles is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
