Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, motivated and hardworking Concrete Laborer (Finishing skills a plus!) to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to concrete including pouring, finishing, and providing the finishing touches that bring construction and landscaping projects to life. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, from commercial buildings to residential renovations, while honing your skills in landscape, concrete finishing and related trades.
Responsibilities
- Prepare sites: Dig trenches, level earth, and clear debris to get the sites ready for pouring.
- Set forms: Build, set up and tear down wood or metal forms.
- Reinforce Concrete: Place and tie steel rebar or wire mesh to ensure structural strength.
- Pour & Spread: Assist with unloading concrete mixers; shovel and rake concrete into place.
- Finish & Seal: Help smooth out concrete surfaces using floats and trowels, and apply curing compounds.
- Follow all construction workplace safety regulations diligently while working on-site or with heavy machinery.
- Maintain Gear: Keep the job site clean and safely maintain tools, mixers and equipment.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels; power tools including drills and saws; and heavy equipment operation when required.
What we are looking for:
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50/75 pounds regularly and stand for long hours.
- Reliability: A strong work ethic and a history of showing up on time every day.
- Skills: Experience with basic hand/power tools.
- Transportation: A valid drivers license and dependable transportation to get to the job sites.
- Experience: 3 plus years of concrete experience preferred, but we will train the right motivated individual.
