Tower Telecommunications Technician

Job Overview
As a Telecommunications Technician, you’ll play a vital role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting wireless antennas and network equipment for our clients. This position involves working outdoors, at heights, and requires technical expertise in telecommunications systems.

Duties

• Install, configure, and maintain wireless antennas, routers, and related equipment
• Conduct site surveys and prepare for installations by assessing environmental conditions
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on wireless systems
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations while working at heights and on towers
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients to provide updates and ensure successful project outcomes
• Document all installations, maintenance, and service calls in accordance with company standards

Experience

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in wireless telecommunications or antenna installations
• Proficiency with wireless network systems, equipment, and installation techniques
• Strong understanding of safety standards, especially when working at heights (tower climbing experience is a plus)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Relevant certifications (OSHA, CPR/First Aid, Tower Climbing Certification) are highly preferred
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in varying weather conditions
