About the Role:
At North Range Behavioral Health, we are committed to fostering holistic well-being for every resident. Our Food Services program prepares and serves family-style meals in residential facilities, ensuring that each meal meets the nutritional and dietary needs of our residents. By adhering to health and safety protocols and food service best practices, this program supports both physical health and a sense of community, reinforcing our mission to provide compassionate, person-centered care.
This position will require driving of the food service vehicle
What You Will Do:
- Assists Cook in preparing food and cooking according to menus, special dietary or nutritional restrictions, or numbers of portions to be served. Clean, cut, and cook meat, fish, or poultry; bake breads, rolls, and other pastries; wash and prepare fruits and vegetables, etc.
- Portion and serve food to facility residents, employees, or patrons,
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other cooking equipment thoroughly.
- Inspect, clean, and maintain work areas, kitchen, and equipment to ensure cleanliness, safety, and functional operations. Report on safety issues to Kitchen Manager immediately.
- Ensure proper food storage according to health department regulations; examine foodstuffs to ensure quality and quantity meet established standards and specifications.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
You’re a Great Fit If You:
- Have a High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
- Have a Valid Colorado Drivers license with a driving record that meets the agency’s insurability requirements.
- Have at least 1 year of experience working in the same/similar capacity; experience cooking in nursing homes, hospitals, school cafeterias and/or similar institutions is preferred.
