Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and serving of meals, snacks, and beverages according to planned menus and resident dietary restrictions.
- Deliver meals to resident rooms or dining areas, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen and dining area, adhering to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Operate dishwashing equipment and ensure proper storage of dishes and utensils.
- Assist with stocking food and supplies, and reporting inventory needs.
- Interact respectfully and kindly with residents, families, and staff.
- Report any food-related issues, resident concerns, or equipment malfunctions to the Dietary Manager.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food service, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Knowledge of basic food preparation and food safety practices.
- Strong attention to detail, especially regarding dietary restrictions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
