External Director of Marketing
The DIRECTOR OF MARKETING will be responsible for creating and implementing an overall marketing strategy and build relationships in the community while increasing patient census and fostering partnerships with physicians, clinics, hospitals, and including Assisted Living Facilities, Hospice, and Home Care companies. To acquire the necessary and appropriate information to facilitate the admission of the resident to the facility from home, hospital, or other facility and to complete the documents necessary for the admission process.

QUALIFICATIONS of the Director of Marketing:
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE needed for the Director of Marketing Position:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
- At least three (3) years’ experience in marketing management, preferably in health care
- Proven experience as Marketing Director, preferably in Senior Living/Skilled Nursing
- Ability to market aggressively and deal tactfully with customers and the community

RESPONSIBILITIES of the DIRECTOR OF MARKETING:
- Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with acute-care hospitals, health systems, discharge planners, case managers, rehabilitation centers, and assisted living facilities
- Work with physicians and hospital discharge planners to arrange a smooth transition to the facility
- Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, physicians, social workers, discharge planners and other referral sources
- Help develop and implement a marketing strategy for the facility with our regional marketing team as well as managers in the field
- Develop marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, ads, campaigns etc.
- Continuously conduct market assessments and develop a comprehensive marketing plan designed to meet company goals and objectives
- Participate in community events and activities that promote company goals and initiatives
- Provide leadership in strategic planning including identifying opportunities for additional or improved services to address customer needs
TRAVEL:
- Approximately 70% local travel is expected for this position
