Part-Time Seasonal Position – North Park School District
Position Summary
Summer Maintenance assists the district maintenance and custodial staff in preparing school buildings, grounds, and facilities for the upcoming school year. This seasonal position supports a variety of maintenance, cleaning, moving, and groundskeeping tasks to help ensure safe, clean, and well-maintained learning environments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with summer cleaning of classrooms, offices, hallways, gyms, and common areas
- Move furniture, equipment, and classroom materials as needed
- Help with painting, minor repairs, and basic maintenance projects
- Perform groundskeeping duties including mowing, trimming, watering, and trash removal
- Assist with setting up and tearing down rooms or facilities for summer activities and events
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and equipment
- Follow all district safety procedures and guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director or Supervisor
Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and general maintenance practices preferred
- Reliable attendance and punctuality required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work indoors and outdoors for extended periods
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
Work Schedule
- Seasonal summer position
- Typical schedule: Monday–Friday, daytime hours
- Hours may vary based on district needs
Compensation
- $15.62/Hour
- Part-time seasonal position not eligible for district insurance

Terms of Employment
This is a temporary seasonal position with employment dates determined by the school district’s summer maintenance schedule.
