Job Functions
- Financial Leadership and Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies that align with organizational objectives. Guide the team in best practices, continuous improvement, and adopting innovative processes and technologies.
- Forecasting: Lead the quarterly forecasting and long-range financial planning. Collaborate with business unit leaders to ensure forecasts are accurate, realistic, and aligned with business goals.
- Operational Finance: Partner with operations leaders to analyze business performance, identify operational efficiencies, and drive cost-saving initiatives. Provide clear financial metrics and business cases to support operational decision-making.
- Internal Controls and Compliance: Design, implement, and monitor strong internal controls and financial policies. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, internal audit standards, and risk management protocols.
- Team Leadership and Development: Build and lead a high-performing team. Foster an environment of continuous learning and professional development. Set clear objectives, monitor performance, and mentor team members.
- Business Partnership: Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO, COO, and other senior leaders, participating in key business decisions and providing financial guidance for new initiatives, investments, and acquisitions.
- Service Line Analytics: Build and collaboration with operators to maximize service lines to enhance profitability
- Lead capital expenditure analysis and support and work with the CFO on cash management on capital acquisitions
- Process Improvement and Transformation: Lead or support finance transformation projects, including automation, digitalization, and system upgrades. Seek out opportunities to streamline processes and enhance data accuracy.
- Stakeholder Communication: Prepare and present financial results, forecasts, and analyses to the board of directors, investors, and external stakeholders as needed.
- Collaboration with grant recipient stakeholders to ensure compliance.
- Responsible for robust cost allocation system. Includes identifying direct and indirect costs, developing appropriate allocation bases, and ensuring transparency in how costs are assigned to products, services, or projects.
- Responsibility for productivity management includes the ongoing tracking of KPIs, benchmarking against industry standards, and setting goals. Deviations from targets are investigated, and corrective actions are taken in partnership with cross-functional teams.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. Required
- Master's Degree MBA, MAcc. Preferred
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA). . Upon Hire. Preferred

- 10 years. progressive experience in finance or accounting roles. Required
- 4-6 years. at least 5 years in a senior leadership position within operations finance, corporate finance, or controllership. Required
- 1-3 years. Experience in both public and private sector environments may be advantageous. Preferred
- 1-3 years. Epic , Workday, and Strata experience. Preferred
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and key operational metrics. Workday is a plus Advanced Excel skills
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with SOX, GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant regulatory frameworks. Experience with internal and external audits.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and inspire a team of finance professionals. Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Analytical Capability: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate insights into actionable recommendations
- Change Management: Proven experience leading or supporting organizational change, process improvements, and finance transformation initiatives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to engage, inform, and influence executive leadership and diverse stakeholder groups.
