What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Veterinary Assistant (Part-time or Full-time) position at North Madison Veterinary Clinic?
The North Madison Veterinary Clinic has a job opening for an experienced part-time or full-time veterinary assistant. We will be accepting resumes until noon on Friday, July 24, 2026. The assistant will assist and provide support to the veterinarian or veterinary technician. The assistant will be responsible for:
· handling and restraint of animals for a variety of procedures
· cleaning and maintenance of the clinic and all equipment
· assisting with taking radiographs
· communicating effectively with clients and colleagues
· maintaining accurate medical records
· assisting with inventory management
Must be willing to submit to a background check.

The ideal candidate pays attention to detail, is a self-starter, is organized, can easily prioritize tasks, and takes great pride in their work, whatever it may be. They must be able to lift 50 pounds and remain standing for long periods of time. Must be able to stand, sit, kneel, crawl, and maneuver to effectively perform all job duties. They must be comfortable and confident around animals and willing to work with animals that may occasionally bite or scratch.
Previous veterinary clinic experience required.
