Maintenance Worker

Primary Functions: Responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure our facilities remain in excellent condition. This role requires someone with attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Must have the ability to oversee buildings’ daily maintenance tasks as well as special projects.

Shift: Monday through Friday (5.5 hours per day)

Performance Responsibilities:

· Proven experience as a maintenance worker.

· Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry systems.

· Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.

· Basic understanding of HVAC systems (changing belts, filters etc.) and general building maintenance.

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Essential Functions: Daily functions include, but are not limited to:

· Perform general maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.

· Install, repair, and replace flooring, doors, windows, and fixtures.

· Conduct routine inspections to identify and address maintenance needs.

· Paint and patch walls, ceilings, and other surfaces as needed.

· Maintain and repair appliances, and mechanical equipment.

· Assist with landscaping and exterior maintenance tasks.

· Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.

· Keep work areas clean and organized, ensuring safety standards are met.

· Works towards the accomplishment of department/agency goals.

• Attends all scheduled meetings assigned.

• Meets relevant continuing educational/training requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications are a plus.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in maintenance, or a related field.
• Must have a clean and valid driver’s license.
