Extended Care (Part-Time) - Blessed Francis Seelos Academy

Position: After Care Staff
Hours: Monday-Friday 3:00p.m. - 6:00p.m. (according to days that school is in session)
Location: Seelos Academy
Students Served: Kindergarten through 8th Grade

Seelos Academy is seeking caring, responsible, and dependable individuals to supervise students in our After Care Program. After Care Staff members play an important role in providing a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment for students at the end of the school day.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide attentive supervision and ensure the safety and well-being of students in Kindergarten through 8th grade.



• Maintain a positive, respectful, and welcoming environment for all students.


• Supervise students during designated homework and quiet work time, offering appropriate assistance and encouragement as needed.


• Distribute and supervise snack time.


• Monitor students during free play and recreational activities.


• Supervise outdoor play and activities when weather conditions permit.


• Maintain appropriate student-to-staff supervision at all times.


• Encourage students to treat one another with kindness, respect, and consideration.


• Address student behavior appropriately and consistently in accordance with school policies and procedures.


• Communicate concerns, injuries, incidents, or important information to the appropriate school personnel and parents/guardians as directed.


• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe After Care environment.


• Follow all Seelos Academy policies, procedures, and safety protocols.



• Work collaboratively with other After Care Staff members and school personnel.

  
  

Qualifications

• Enjoy working with children of various ages.



• Demonstrate patience, kindness, maturity, and sound judgment.


• Be dependable, responsible, and punctual.


• Be able to supervise students actively and attentively.


• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• Be able to create a positive and engaging environment while maintaining appropriate structure and expectations.



• Successfully complete all required clearances and training.
