Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Housekeeping Inspector to ensure all guest accommodations and resort areas meet our high standards prior to guest arrival.
This role is essential in maintaining the overall guest experience by verifying that housekeeping tasks are completed thoroughly, all amenities are in place, and any maintenance or cleanliness issues are addressed promptly.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect cottages, guest rooms, and public areas for cleanliness, organization, and quality standards
- Ensure all furniture, fixtures, equipment, and kitchen items are clean, present, and in working condition
- Verify housekeeping work in check-outs and stayover rooms; report and correct deficiencies
- Communicate room status (vacant/clean) with the front desk
- Identify maintenance needs and report directly to the General Manager
- Assist in creating and submitting work orders for repairs
- Train and support housekeeping staff, including new team members
- Step in to assist with room attendant duties as needed
- Conduct regular property walks to ensure cleanliness and proper waste management
- Monitor and maintain pool furniture and public restrooms
- Uphold safety standards and ensure compliance across housekeeping operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–2 years of housekeeping or hospitality experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable using basic computer programs (Microsoft Office, email, etc.)
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Spanish language skills are a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the property for extended periods
- Ability to lift, bend, and perform physical tasks as needed
