What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education K-4 Teacher Assistant position at NORTH DAVIS PREPARATORY ACADEMY?
A charter school in Layton, is now accepting applications for a part-time Special Education K-4 Teacher Paraprofessional. This position will be at the Elementary location.
Under the general supervision of the special education director, the special education teacher assistant supports the implementation of student IEP's (Individualized Education Programs) by assisting the teacher in five areas of service: instructional support, management and supervision support, personal support, assessment support and materials management. The position is announced as a part-time position, working approximately 29 hours per week.
Qualified applicants will have passed the PRAXIS exam, or have an associate's degree (or equivalent credits towards a bachelor's degree). Qualified applicant will work under direction of a certified teacher. Preference may be given to applicants who have previous experience teaching. Candidate must also submit for and pass a background check in accordance with Utah's Department of Public Safety requirements.
