What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant I position at North Dakota Information Technology Dept?
As an Accountant I, you will provide support to the organization internally as well as support to our external customers.
In this role, you will:
- Perform accounting duties in accordance with GAAP and GASB standards.
- Prepare and update supporting spreadsheets
- Be responsible for managing the Accounts Payable inbox
- Serve as contact for vendor inquiries and issues
- Assist with annual 1099 statements
- Assist with NDIT Accounts Receivable deposits
- Prepare and reconcile deposits
To be considered for this role, you must have:
A bachelor's degree in accounting, statistics, economics, business or a related field
Or
An associate degree in accounting, statistics, economics, business or a related field and one year of current and progressive accounting experience working with accounts payable or receivable, creating reports in Excel, and compiling financial reports/records in a medium to large size organization.
Or
Three years of current and progressive accounting experience as written above.
