What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources and Executive Coordinator position at North Dakota Environmental Quality?
Summary of Work
As the Human Resources and Executive Coordinator, you will provide administrative support to the DEQ Director and assist with the agency's human resources operations. This dual role offers an opportunity to work closely with agency leadership and employees across DEQ.
In this role, you will manage the Director's calendar, coordinate scheduling priorities, and facilitate regular calendar reviews; coordinate travel arrangements, registrations and itineraries; draft, format, proofread, and route correspondence and other documents, ensuring accuracy and timely follow-through; greet and assist visitors to the Director's office, maintain records, and assist with legislative tracking. This position will also support recruitment by coordinating job postings, application materials, and communication with applicants; manage the onboarding process; and manage the agency's wellness program.
To succeed in this position, you should be comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with others. You should be able to organize multiple assignments, meet deadlines, use office technology effectively, and provide consistent, professional support to employees, applicants, the public, government officials, and agency leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
Five or more years of progressively responsible administrative support experience, including support to C-suite or executive leaders.
While Human Resources experience will not substitute for the experience outlined above, due to the dual role nature of this position, preference will be given to applicants who also have experience in Human Resource operations such as recruitment, onboarding, and administering employee benefits.
