Oil & Gas Reclamation Technician
The Oil & Gas Division of the Department of Mineral Resources (DMR) has an opening for an Oil & Gas Reclamation Technician to work within the Minot Field office area. The Oil and Gas Division regulates the drilling and production of oil & gas in North Dakota. As a Reclamation Technician, you will play a key role in the Oil & Gas Division's mission by conducting reclamation field inspections of oil & gas sites, saltwater disposals, and injection wells, to determine if operations comply with current laws, regulations, and policies; conduct spill clean-up and remediation inspections; assist with inquiries regarding reclamation and environmental issues with oil and gas sites; write specifications for the reclamation of well sites; prepare other bid documents for review by the Reclamation Supervisor; and oversee fulfillment of contract terms for the reclamation of well sites.
To thrive in this role, you must be dependable, responsible, a strong communicator and a self-starter who enjoys working outdoors year-round. Should have a strong understanding of reclamation practices, oil & gas operations, as well as soil and plants. This position will be working with dedicated inspection software along with GIS programs, and computer-aided database software.
This full-time position is primarily field based with some office duties. The office will be in Minot, ND. Remote office work may be allowed for those living in the surrounding areas. The position offers a strong work-life balance with a consistent Monday-Friday schedule ending by 5:00 p.m., year around flex schedule, with the potential of some overnight stays and minimal evening or weekend work.
The Hiring Salary Range is $38,160 - $60,000 per year, or $3,180 - $5,000 per month.

To be considered for this role you must have:
- An Associate's degree, or two years-experience in soils, seed blends, plant identification, construction, natural resources, farming, reclamation practices, etc.
- The ability to work in the ND climate
- Good verbal & written communication skills, motivation, and a positive attitude.
- Familiarity with mapping software and experience using Microsoft business applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams.
- Problem solving, self-discipline, and time management skills.
Additional Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Include, an Associates or Bachelor's degree with a major or course work in engineering, mathematics, soil science, natural resources, environmental science, or physical science. Experience with oil & gas, soil sciences, and natural resources. Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) mapping software and knowledge of Unmanned Arieal Vehicle (UAV)
