What are the responsibilities and job description for the Young Adult Case Manager position at North Dakota Corrections & Rehab?
Summary of Work
Work involves providing case management services in the community to offenders 18 to 24 years of age that have been sentenced to ND Parole and Probation.
Duties and Tasks
- Develop and maintain professional working relationships with the Parole & Probation staff, courts, social service agencies, human service centers, and other relevant agencies within the community.
- Compile and analyze information to assess the needs of young adults.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individual treatment programs.
- Provide structured supervision with 18-24 year olds.
- Arrange, facilitate, and monitor placements.
- Provide crisis intervention and follow-up to emergency services for young adults.
- Assess need for individual counseling referrals and coordinate with service providers.
- Prepare documentation for revocation hearings.
- Prepare documents and maintain files to complete case documentation required by the central office, court, county social services, and other agencies involved in the young adult program.
- Complete time logs as part of targeted case management.
Minimum Qualifications
Young Adult Corrections Officer requires a bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, sociology, criminal justice, juvenile justice, or other closely related field and two years of work experience providing case management services to delinquent youth, 18-24 year olds or offenders. A master's degree in one of the above fields may substitute for one yar of the work experience requirement.
