Charge Nurse
Duties:
- Provide direct patient care and oversee the nursing staff
- Coordinate and manage patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team
- Assist with procedures such as dermal fillers, lifts, spinal taps, and ostomy care
- Ensure proper documentation of patient information in electronic health record systems such as Athenahealth and eClinicalWorks
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding their conditions, treatments, and medications
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff, including oversight of sterile processing procedures
Qualifications:
- Valid nursing license (RN or LPN)
- Minimum of 1 years of nursing experience in a healthcare setting
- Experience in an ambulatory surgery center or similar outpatient setting is preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care principles and practices is a plus
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems for documentation purposes
