What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Childhood Speech and Language Pathology Assistant position at North Country Supervisory Union?
The Early Childhood Special Education Program has an itinerant SLPA position available which will provide services throughout the North Country Supervisory Union.
Responsibilities include:
•Direct language intervention with students in the early childhood program, working with individuals and small groups.
•Consultation with SLP and teachers.
•Researching, designing visual schedules, data keeping, clerical work and documentation, preparing materials, analyzing classroom observation/intervention data.
•Using technology in language therapy.
•Providing support for hearing devices including hearing aids, sound field systems and personal FM systems
•Designing home programs.
Qualifications include:
•Completion of Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLP-A) Program and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology strongly preferred.
•Familiarity with board maker and other related software a plus.
Salary and benefits as set forth in the Educational Support Staff employment policy. Hourly rate between $23.35 and $25.00 depending on previous experience.
