What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Administrator position at North Coast States Carpenters Regional Office?
The North Coast States Carpenters Union is currently seeking an administrative professional to join our team at our Regional Office in Oakland, CA. This is a full-time position for in-person work, and this individual will be working closely beside our Labor Compliance and Research departments to protect the rights and dignity of workers throughout Oregon, Washington and Northern California.
Job Duties:
-Work with local government and agencies to obtain public records, including but not limited to, payroll records
-Prepare letters and notices to local governments and agencies
-Maintain and prepare agendas for various meetings
-Manage California Public Records Act requests
-Maintain information and databases of historical data
-Track upcoming work opportunities and projects
-Maintain project information within internal databases
-Input data from public records into internal databases
Requirements:
-Ability to commute to Oakland five (5) days/week
-Familiarity with Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook
-Organizational skills including maintaining schedule of items for follow-up at fixed intervals
-Spanish is a plus
-Willingness to work closely with multiple teams and departments, and take on projects for multiple individuals simultaneously
-Must be willing to join Carpenters Union
