Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-oriented Budtender to join our team at our Ann Arbor location. The ideal candidate will provide outstanding customer service in a friendly, professional, and compliant manner. This role is pivotal in ensuring a positive experience for every visitor while adhering to all state and local cannabis regulations.
We are specifically looking to hire someone who is available to work 2-4 closing shifts (shift time: 3:30pm - 11:30pm) per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and Welcome Customers: Provide a warm and welcoming environment for all customers entering the dispensary.
- Customer Service: Handle inquiries, provide information about products, and assist customers with their purchases. Ensure customer satisfaction and handle any complaints with professionalism.
- Check-In and Verification: Verify identification to ensure compliance with state laws. Manage the dispensary's point-of-sale system for check-ins and sales.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and their effects to assist customers in making informed choices.
- Customer Support: Manage phone calls, fill online orders, run out curbside orders
- Sales Support: Assist with inventory management by helping track product levels and informing the team when restocking is necessary.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure all sales are conducted within the legal framework, maintain security protocols, and report any suspicious activities or breaches in compliance.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with co-workers, inventory managers, and security personnel to ensure smooth operation of the dispensary.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; further education in customer service, hospitality, or related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in cannabis, customer service, retail, or hospitality preferred.
- Knowledge or interest in cannabis culture and industry; willingness to learn about cannabis products, laws, and trends.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Basic computer skills; experience with POS systems is advantageous.
- Must pass a background check in accordance with Michigan state cannabis regulations.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
