Store Cleaner & Window Cleaner Needed — Birmingham, AL (The Summit area) — 2 Openings, Recurring Retail Work

Location: Retail store in the Summit Blvd shopping district, Birmingham, AL. Exact store and address shared once you're confirmed and onboarding.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're North Co Commercial Cleaning, hiring two people for a national home goods retailer's store in Birmingham. This is steady, recurring work — same day, same store, every visit. Two separate openings:

1) STORE CLEANER — WEEKLY

• Every Monday, 8:30 AM start, beginning August 17
• Pay: $50 flat per visit
• Time on site: about 1–1.5 hours solo (could be a little less or a little more depending on experience and getting a system down after the first couple visits)
• Effective hourly: roughly $35–$50/hr
• Scope: dust and clean fixtures, shelving, racks, countertops; vacuum carpet/rugs; dry and damp mop hard floors; spot clean glass and entry doors; empty trash and replace liners; clean and restock the restroom

2) WINDOW CLEANER — MONTHLY

• Once a month, 8:30 AM start, beginning August 17
• Pay: $50 flat per visit
• Time on site: about 45 minutes–1 hour solo (could be a little less or a little more depending on experience and getting a system down after the first couple visits)
• Effective hourly: roughly $50–$65/hr
• Scope: interior and exterior storefront glass — entry door glass in and out, squeegee and detail all edges and corners, wipe sills and ledges dry

EXTRA PAID VISITS — BOTH HIRES

• Twice a year, both cleaners team up for a full deep clean of the store — first one is Sunday, August 10 at 8:30 AM. Pay: $60 per person, about 2.5–3 hours with both people working (roughly $20–$25/hr each).
• Each hire is also the backup for the other. If the store cleaner is out, the window cleaner can cover that visit at the store cleaning pay, and vice versa — extra paid visits when they come up.

RELIABILITY — READ THIS

Services happen on the agreed day, every time. Same day every week (or month for windows). Any schedule change on your end needs 48 hours' notice. No-shows are the one thing that ends this relationship — if you can't make a visit, you tell us ahead of time, and we cover it. Communication is everything.

PAY & CHECK-IN

• Flat per-visit pay as listed above
• Check in, upload before/after photos and videos, and check out using the links we provide — this is how you get paid
• Pay averages 24–48 hours after the job is completed to manager satisfaction
• Parking: reimbursed only with a receipt showing date, time in, time out, place, and total

SUPPLIES

Client provides restroom/breakroom consumables (paper towels, toilet tissue, hand soap, liners) — you restock them each visit. We provide all chemicals and equipment, OR bring your own for a per-visit bonus: $10 store cleaning, $5 windows, $15 if you bring both.

Store cleaning supplies: vacuum, mop and bucket (or flat mop with extra pads), broom/dustpan or dust mop, all-purpose cleaner, disinfectant, glass cleaner, microfiber cloths, dusting tool, restroom cleaner, scrubber or deck brush.

Window supplies: window scrubber/applicator, squeegee, glass cleaning solution, microfiber or scrim cloths, scraper or razor, bucket. Step stool or extension pole handy for tops of glass.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be 21 or older
• Cleaning experience
• Window Cleaner opening: must have real experience using a window scrubber and squeegee
• Reliable personal transportation (rideshare/public transit does not qualify)
• Working phone with camera for photos and check-in

DRESS CODE

Slip-resistant shoes recommended (we can help with those if needed). Clean plain blue or black shirt, jeans or non-athletic shorts — nothing ripped, no sweatpants. Hair tied back; arrive clean and presentable.
