The Manager provides leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight to support seamless patient flow and high-quality service delivery across the organization.
Compensation And Benefits
- The starting pay range for this role is $82,222- $89,523, based on education and experience.
- This position is full-time and in person.

- As a full-time employee of NCHC, you would be eligible for the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS). The WRS is a hybrid defined benefit plan. It contains elements of both a 401(k) or defined contribution plan and a defined benefit plan. Participating staff contribute 6.95% and NCHC will match this at 100% each pay period!
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or closely related field.
- More than 2 years of experience in patient access, revenue cycle or healthcare operations.
- More than 2 years of supervisory experience, with direct reports.
- Valid Wisconsin driver’s license and use of a personal vehicle.
- More than 4 years of experience in patient access, revenue cycle or healthcare operations.
- More than 1 year of experience with performance metrics, workflow optimization, and patient access financial processes.
- More than 1 year of managerial experience.
- Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA)
- Certified Patient Access Manager (CPAM)
What a Manger Of Patient Accounts Does At NCHC
- Ensure a welcoming, patient-centered environment that supports timely access to care.
- Address and resolve patient complaints and service concerns professionally.
- Monitor wait times, accuracy rates, cancellation/no-show trends, and productivity.
- Develop and refine efficient workflows to improve patient throughput and reduce errors.
- Address process bottlenecks and coordinate cross-departmental problem solving.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and registration information.
- Promote a culture of respect, dignity, and responsiveness for patients and families.
- Collaborate closely with billing, insurance, and clinical teams to ensure clear, accurate billing information.
- Support initiatives that reduce registration errors, prevent claim denials, and improve reimbursement.
- Monitor KPIs including registration and insurance verification accuracy, authorization turn around times, and cancellation and no show rates.
- Ensure accurate data entry and compliance with HIPAA and all regulatory requirements.
- Implement strategies to help reduce avoidable write-offs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (including HIPAA).
- Identify registration and access-related risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Maintain internal controls to protect financial integrity and safeguard PHI.
- Conduct audits and develop corrective action plans when needed.
- Track and report patient access metrics such as wait times, scheduling efficiency, accuracy rates, and satisfaction scores.
- Analyze trends and develop recommendations to optimize operations.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
