What are the responsibilities and job description for the Risk Analyst position at North Carolina Office of the State Auditor?
The North Carolina Office of the State Auditor (OSA) is seeking a Risk Analyst to serve on our Risk Management Team. This role will assist in the overall OSA annual Risk Assessment, along with day-to-day quality assurance reviews.
OSA is the state’s Fiscal Watchdog. We hold state government and entities that receive public money accountable, working on behalf of North Carolinians to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse.

As part of our team, you will get to:
- Assist with metric development and maintenance across OSA
- Provide quality assurance reviews for active audits and special report drafts
- Help in the annual internal control Risk Assessment performed over the OSA financial division
- Serve on serval risk subcommittees active within OSA
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with 12 semester hours in accounting from an appropriately accredited institution and 2 years of experience in auditing/accounting or program evaluation
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience
Salary : $58,613 - $102,574
