Primary Purpose Of Position
The adjunct instructor will be responsible for teaching courses in the department as assigned. The responsibilities of instructors include teaching, evaluation, and other instruction-related duties and responsibilities that help the department achieve its mission and meet the goals of the University, including the following: Setting up assignments Setting up grading policies and procedures Creating the course syllabus Learning the University’s Canvas course management system Reporting midterm and final grades by specified deadlines Communicating problems in your courses to the department chair Receiving annual peer-teaching reviews Contributing to department assessment efforts Having students complete Student Ratings of Instruction ( SRI ) surveys each semester
