| Primary Purpose of Position | The Associate Treasurer serves as a senior leader within the Treasurer's Office and provides operational leadership of the University's daily activities related to student financial services, cashiering operations, receivables management, and treasury support functions. Working closely with the University Treasurer, this position ensures that financial transactions, treasury activities, and student account operations are performed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with federal, state, and UNC System regulations. The Associate Treasurer oversees the day-to-day operational functions of the Treasurer's Office and plays a key role in ensuring that payments, deposits, refunds, and student account activity are processed accurately and reconciled appropriately within the University's financial systems. This role also promotes consistent service standards and operational practices that support both financial accuracy and a positive experience for students and campus partners. The Associate Treasurer collaborates with financial systems staff and campus stakeholders to resolve operational issues, improve financial processes, and strengthen the overall effectiveness of treasury and student financial services operations. |
