Primary Purpose Of Position
The Assistant AD for Corporate Partnerships is responsible for managing the department’s efforts to achieve success by developing strong relationships, aligning with strategic goals, and determining university fit in the business market.
Key responsibilities include selling integrated marketing packages, building relationships with corporate sponsors, creating and reviewing strategic business plans, developing an annual fiscal budget for the entire property, leveraging internal support for sales, helping to recruit and train support staff, fostering a team-based selling culture, and maintaining flexible work hours for events.

The Intercollegiate Athletics Department is consistent with the mission of the University to provide an intellectual environment where students develop a sense of identification, belonging, responsibility, and achievement that prepares them for leadership and service in regional, national and global communities. The Department of Athletics provides a comprehensive program of intercollegiate competition as an integral part of the total educational experience for all students. The Intercollegiate Athletics Department embraces the principles of competitive excellence, sportsmanship, ethical conduct, and amateurism while facilitating the academic objectives of student-athletes. Minimum Requirements
- 4 years selling comprehensive integrated sports marketing partnerships including major media elements (signage, radio, social, digital, etc.) or other relevant B2B sales experience
- Ability to analyze a client’s traditional, digital and non-traditional marketing needs based on the customer’s marketing targets and objectives, and craft an integrated marketing solution(s) to meet those needs.
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing, including but not limited to social media, content marketing, banner ads, mobile, retargeting, and websites, including interpreting performance analytics for all areas.
- Proven track record of developing and maintaining strong, lasting relationships with relevant stakeholders.
- Demonstrate effectiveness in hiring, developing, and promoting top sales talent.
- High energy level coupled with a strong drive for results.
- Able to develop and execute strategic plans to meet both short and long-term business objectives.
- Effective problem-solving abilities.
- Must demonstrate a high level of integrity and honesty.
- Manage time effectively and orchestrate multiple tasks simultaneously
- Effective communication, organizational, presentation, and listening skills
- Previous experience in sports and/or higher education preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university.
