What are the responsibilities and job description for the District wide STEM teacher position at North Brookfield Public Schools?
Work as a member of both the Elementary School and the Jr/Sr High School Staff in
Providing instruction in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.
Deliver STEM-oriented instruction through project-based learning methods that involve the Engineering Design Process.
Employs a variety of instructional techniques, instructional media, and performance assessments, which guide the learning process toward curriculum goals and student learning.
Works directly with school administrators and staff in the development, implementation, and evaluation of STEM initiatives and curriculum.
Uses technology to promote learning, creativity, and collaboration.
Teaches students to work collaboratively to solve problems and to think logically and creatively.
Provide individual or small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of students and to accommodate circumstances where a variety of projects are being worked on simultaneously.
Able to maintain standards of student behavior for a positive and productive learning environment.
Assesses the accomplishments of students in a variety of ways on a regular basis and provides progress reports as required.
Builds effective relationships with parents and students through regular communication and is available to students and parents for education-related purposes.
PLTW experience/certification preferred. This position is a long term sub position from August 2026-March 2028
