Position Summary:
The receptionist is responsible for the efficient management of the front desk interacting both with patients and providers.
Principle Job Duties:
- Handle multiple phone lines.
- Greet patients verifying current information during check in process.
- Update patient information into system.
- Process referrals, lab requests, etc.
- Schedule and reschedule patient appointments.
- Assist all team members as needed.
- Provide support to team members in providing excellent patient care.
- Proper Processing of patient paperwork/charts.
- Demonstrate safe work practices.
- Adhere to clinic safety guidelines.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work in fast paced environment
- Demonstrated the ability to use a personal computer and various software programs applicable to the position.
- Demonstrates the ability to operate applicable office equipment
- Exhibits the ability to deal effectively interdepartmentally and with the public.
- Exhibits the ability to maintain confidentiality, think and act independently with minimal supervision
- Medical Terminology preferred
- Maintains regular, consistent, and punctual attendance at the assigned job location
- Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills.
