Hours: Monday – Friday, Full time

Full Job Description:
Position Summary:
The Front Desk Receptionist is the first point of contact for our clients. The front desk receptionist is responsible for registering patients for their appointments, verifying patient demographics, collecting co-payments, and answering phones calls.
Principle Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients as they check in for their appointments.
  • Verify patients’ information and insurance coverage to determine the information is correct, make necessary changes as required for their service or procedure.
  • Updates patient information, as received.
  • Balance cash drawer at end of day
  • Complete special project that may arise.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Attendance/Punctuality – is consistently at work on time; ready to work at beginning of shift.
Dependability – follows instructions, responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; meets commitments; follow policies and procedures.
Interpersonal skills – in this position the employee is required to work with patients and team members. Maintaining a kind and positive attitude is essential for this position. This position requires working with diverse groups of individuals. Employees in this position may encounter stressful situations where a professional attitude will be required. Multi-tasking is essential as frequent interruptions are common.
Working conditions – The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate. In this position the employee will work under fluorescent lights and will constantly look at a computer screen. In this position the temperature is usually mild, with some fluctuations in cool or warm temperatures.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Flexible, able to prioritize and multitask in an ever-changing environment.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
  • Constant use of computer and telephones
  • Consistent and punctual attendance
  • Knowledge of insurance highly recommended
  • Epic experience highly recommended
