Job Summary
Provide clinical pharmacy services to support safe, appropriate, and cost-effective medication therapy: consult with providers and nurses, perform drug utilization reviews, monitor therapies, and recommend alternatives as appropriate. Document interventions and collaborate to resolve medication issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform drug utilization reviews; develop drug review criteria and recommend therapy changes.
- Consult with nursing/medical staff on orders, reactions, and medication complaints; suggest evidence-based alternatives.
- Monitor assigned drug therapies and communicate recommendations to physicians and care teams.
- Support medication safety, documentation, and regulatory compliance; maintain accurate records.
Job Qualifications
Required
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited program.
- Arkansas pharmacist (RPh/PharmD) license in good standing.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; strong clinical communication.
Preferred
- Health-system pharmacy experience.
Compensation & Schedule
- Status: PRN
- Schedule: As Needed, Rotating shifts with some evenings/weekends/holidays based on department needs
