North American Mechanical, Inc. (NAMI) is seeking a Purchasing Agent to work under the direction of the Purchasing/Distribution Manager to process & expedite purchase orders as well as perform other clerical duties in support of the purchasing function.

- Daily ordering of materials and equipment for Projects and Inventory in the time frame required, and issue purchase orders as needed.
- Track back-orders of materials .
- Maintain vendor relationships
- Optimize total costs, including freight and purchase price
- Actively communicate & collaborate with key stakeholders
- Resolve discrepancies associated with responsible supplier transactions in a timely manner
- Other projects & clerical type duties as assigned
- Good Customer Service and Relationship Skills
- Self-motivated to be able to work on own and good problem solving skills
- Computer Skills and Fluent in Outlook, MS Excel and Word
- Bachelor degree in business, accounting, or related field a plus
- 3 - 5 years of Purchasing experience a plus
- Plumbing and HVAC product knowledge a plus
