How You'll Contribute
Surgical Services at North Alabama Medical Center consists of 15 surgical suites, 6 Endoscopy Rooms, 6 private Pre-Admission Testing rooms, and 30 same day surgery rooms. Our surgical team consists of specially trained surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, surgical technologists, certified nurse anesthetists and other highly trained professionals.
Qualifications And Requirements
Applicants should have a current state RN/LPN license. Additional requirements include:

Qualifications And Requirements
Applicants should have a current state RN/LPN license. Additional requirements include:
- Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
- One year of experience preferred
- Performs duties as assigned and requested.
- Completes a focused patient assessment with reassessments
- Based on patient's condition, procedures, medications given and treatments
- Adequately assesses and reassesses pain. Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques
- Performs patient care and communicates effectively with patients of all ages and specific needs.
- Demonstrates knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on the age of the patient and the patient's clinical condition. Follows the 6 rights of medication administration to reduce the potential for medication errors.
- Assists physicians with procedures and performs services requiring technical and manual skills.
- Performs treatments and provides services to the level of licensure.
- Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes
- Patient safety and reduces the likelihood of errors.
- Manages and operates equipment safely and correctly.
- Educates patient and family on disease process.
