Job Summary:
Works in the CardioVascular Department under the direct supervision of a Registered CardioVascular Sonographer, globally under the Cath Lab Director. This sonographer will be taking Heart and Vascular images, reporting accurate measurements, and answering any questions the Cardiologists/ or Vascular Physicians may have.
Job Requirements & MInimum Education:
Applicate must pass a drug test upon hiring.
Must be a Cardiovascular Student in their second year, and within good standing with the program.
Student must have completed competencies in the various Cardiac and Vascular Exams they will be performing.
Required Skills and Certifications:
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
Registry Eligible from ARDMS or CCI.
Essential Functions:
Performs CardioVascular exams, to assist the medical staff in diagnosing patients.
Develops and prepares studies, to include accurate measurements, and optimal images for interpretation.
Maintains supplies and cleans equipment in assigned areas.
